Exxon Mobile Scholorship
Hello,
Exxon Mobil is holding their 6th Annual Minority Student Business Awareness Day at their Fairfax site.  I am awaiting the response for the exact number of students Freedom is allowed to bring, last year we brought 10-12.  In the meantime I wanted to get word out so students can be identified and begin writing their essays for the event.

Attached is information about the essay contest.  The top 3 essay winners will receive laptops presented at the event on April 15.  The essays have to be submitted no later than midnight, April 2, 2010.  Two copies should be e-mailed one to lbradley856@comcast.net and the other to hillcc@pwcs.edu.  Please highlight the rules and eligibility section to your students that indicate exactly how the essay needs to be written.  Winning essays will be read aloud on the 15th.

There is also an attached student profile form.  That needs to be filled out and submitted to me or Ms. Dykes in the Guidance Department Career Center by Thursday, March 25.

Event is open to sophomore, junior and senior students with an interest in engineering. Please help to disseminate this opportunity to teachers and students.   Below is more information regarding the event.  Any questions contact me.  Thanks!

ExxonMobil - 2010 Minority Students Business Awareness Day (MSBAD)

ExxonMobil’s has announce its 6th Annual Minority Student Business Awareness Day at Exxon Mobil in Fairfax. Attached is the participation information for ExxonMobile's 2010 Minority Students Business Awareness Day (MSBAD) Essay Contest.  Please ensure the information is immediately communicated to all MSBAD interested and applicable students.

Participating students will be allowed to shadow corporate professionals and learn about the myriad of career opportunities at the ExxonMobil Fairfax operation. Students will be amazed by the diverse employment opportunities available to include Engineering (mechanical, material and chemical), Marketing and Sales, Trading and Human Resources.

L&L Ocean Isle Services, LLC again has been retained by the ExxonMobil BEST organization to support the execution of the 2010 MSBAD Essay Contest.  The attachments to this e-mail should be used as your reference for any communications on the program.  Further, the attachment details the essay contest rules, time line with key dates and criteria for contest participants.  Please note that the top three essays will be recognized and the winners will receive awards during the April 15th program at the ExxonMobil Fairfax facility.

This year, to facilitate students selecting a topic, ExxonMobil has broadened the theme and provided two topics from which students can choose a topic that will enhance their essay. The first page of the attachment can be used as a flyer to assist in getting the word out to interested MSBAD students and parents.

Other important information about this year's contest is that essays are due by midnight April 2nd and winners will be notified via the coordinators by April 8, 2010.  See all the rules and judging criteria in the attached document.

Please let Mr. Lin Bradley know if you have any questions on this year's program. He can be reached at 540-829-6937 or send an e-mail to lin.bradley@att.net.

This is an exceptional and worthwhile event for you, ExxonMobil, and the MSBAD students. Please share with your local sophomore, junior, and senior students.
